Hi, I’m Morwenna
[mor-weh-nuh]
I’m an ICF-qualified Life Coach, Thinking Partner and personal Career Cheerleader for mid-senior leaders.
I help busy-brained mid-career leaders untangle their thoughts, reclaim their energy and build careers - and lives - that genuinely fit who they are.
I offer Leadership Life Coaching which means in one session we might be digging into your leadership style so you can manage your team with confidence. And the next session we might end up making a plan for how you can start a new hobby.
My coaching practice is all about helping you understand your authentic self in both work and life, so you can beat the overwhelm and design the work-life blend that makes you feel good.
“Morwenna's warmth, humour and kindness, coupled with her straight-talking and the practical tools she has shared with me mean that I leave every one of our sessions feeling brighter, more optimistic and with a clear plan of action for the way forward.”

My Story
I’ve been where you are.
Prior to building my coaching practice, I spent over 10 years building a career in marketing. I got to be Head of Marketing for some very cool brands with great teams and incredible benefits (hello free holidays!). I said yes to every opportunity, took everything as an chance to learn and it paid off career-wise.
On paper I was nailing it. But behind the scenes, I was exhausted - I was learning as I went, constantly comparing myself to others and my brain was running at 100mph as I tried to juggle my career and my life.
Then, aged 31, two major things happened: I received an ADHD diagnosis and I hit burnout, hard.
It forced me to stop and take a breath.
I realised that I’d been on career auto-pilot and not ever stopped to ask myself what I wanted my life to look like, what was important to me or even how I worked best. I’d unknowingly been mentally working overtime to mask my executive dysfunction and to make sure I fitted in. Looking back, it’s no wonder I burned out.
Working with a coach helped me to completely untangle my thoughts and gave me a sense of clarity I’d never experienced before.
Having someone create a pressure-free thinking space for me allowed me to see things from a different perspective, shake off all the corporate “shoulds” and rediscover my genuine strengths.
Suddenly I was able to set goals and achieve them! And it led me to intentionally redesigning my career and life so that it worked for me.
(Spoiler alert: I even took a career break to travel, and the world didn’t end.)
Today, I wear multiple hats…
Leadership & Life Coach
Fractional Head of Marketing
Aspiring potter
And as committed I am to making wonky pots out of clay, it’s important that you know that I’m also committed to ethical and informed practice as a coach. This means I prioritise my continued professional development and coaching supervision so I can be the best coach for you.
For example, I am a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and abide by their Code of Ethics. I am currently undertaking my Post-Graduate Certificate in Business and Personal Coaching with the University of Chester and about to embark on advanced training to become a Certified Burnout Coach.
A bit more about me
These days I live with my husband in Bristol, a city which we’re absolutely loving getting to know.
I speak Spanish (I married a Spaniard!) but also studied languages at university (French, Spanish and Italian) - give me a vino and I’ll think I’m fluent…
Thanks to my languages, I’ve been lucky enough to live and work in multiple countries - France, Spain, Portugal and Morocco.
Travel is truly where my heart is - I’ve visited 36 countries so far, I think. My favourite recent travel experiences are probably snorkelling in Belize, cooking with abuelas in Oaxaca and doing the Intrepid camping safari in Kenya.
I LOVE being outdoors, hiking or exploring somewhere new in the South West. My happy places are being in the mountains or being able to see the sea.
After years of ignoring my inner creative, I’ve finally embraced the beginner mindset and got hooked on pottery. It’s the longest I’ve kept up a hobby!
And a final fun fact - my coaching practice is called Effervescence Coaching because during my training we had to ask our fellow coaches for one word to describe ourselves. The word ‘effervescent’ was given to me so many times that I bought the domain that same day!
